With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, I wanted to prepare a sweet treat that would have some healthy benefits too. This Dark Chocolate Nut & Berry Bark is not only delicious, but has nutritioius berries and nuts for a healthier box of chocolates. I plan on putting this in baggies for Oliver’s preschool teachers for Valentine’s Day.
Dark Chocolate Nut & Berry Bark Recipe
Freeze dried strawberries and blueberries (or regular dried fruit of your choice)
Roasted pistachio nuts (or nuts and seeds of your choice)
Optional: Maldon Sea Salt
In a double-boiler, melt dark chocolate down. Lay a sheet of wax paper on top of a working counter space. Pour melted dark chocolate is the middle of the wax paper and using a rubber spatula, spread chocolate out. Sprinkle as much or as little dried fruit and nuts on top. Keep in mind, you want each bite to have a little bit of something. Then if using, lightly sprinkle with Maldon sea salt.
