Monster Donuts

I brought these over to my nieces and sister last week as a little surprise. My niece’s love donuts (who doesn’t?) and my pregnant sister is on a sugar-everything craving binge. Since they happen to love Halloween too, I thought this mash up of monster’s and donuts would add a little spooky fun to their day.

Bring these to your next potluck, party, kids classroom, or office.

Directions:

Select a variety of donuts, but I like glazed and chocolate glazed for these particular monsters. Donut holes for cyclops monsters.

Use Halloween props like vampire teeth, monster teeth, plastic spiders, eyeballs, gummy worms, witch noses, witch fingers, etc.  Add a spooky prop to each donut for a fun festive spin on a classic treat.

For the eyes I used candied eyeballs, but mini or regular chocolate chips do the trick too.

To make additional details, I used red frosting gel to make drippy “blood” around the eyes and mouth.

Making those for the office! Where did you get the little candy eyeballs?

I bought the candy eyeballs in the cake section at Joann’s, and then the big plastic eyeballs at Walmart. They’re glow in the dark freezable ice cubes.
