It’s that time of year, where making copious amounts of cookies in one day is the norm. So why not turn it into a Cookie Decorating Party! Over the weekend my best friend came into town and we prepped before the party by baking dozens and dozens of her family’s famous sugar cut-out cookies. The next morning I taped butcher’s paper to our dining room table, laid out wax paper for each cookie decorating station and got mentally prepared for a cookie decorating extravaganza.
I gave each kid their own station with their name written on the butcher’s paper. Then I laid a sheet of wax paper on top, filled a few paper cups with assorted sprinkles and gave each kid a set of cookies to decorate. We divided the batch of icing into 4 colors so each cookie could be different. Since our kids are still a little young, we adults spread on the frosting for them to top with Christmas sprinkles. They had so much fun.
