Apple & PB Sandwich

this is a great snack for the whole family. It makes eating healthy more fun and creative. If you have a peanut allergy,  you can easily swap out the peanut butter for almond butter or another nut butter, or even sunflower butter. I bet using Nutella in this would also be delish.

Ingredients

1 apple

Creamy or crunchy, all-natural peanut butter (or another favorite nut butter)

Optional toppings: granola, raisins, mini-chocolate chips

Slice apple into thin discs, about a quarter of an inch. Use a mini cookie cutter to punch out the core of each apple slice. Smear peanut butter onto one sliced apple, sprinkle with toppings (optional) and top it with a second piece of sliced apple.
