Easy Pear Mash – Leftovers can be frozen
2 ripe organic pears
1/4 cup water
Directions
Peel pears with a peeler and remove the core that contains the stem and seeds. If pear is ripe enough (soft when pushed with finger), place chopped pear into a food processor or blender and pulse until smooth, adding a few tablespoons of water to thin the pear puree out.
*If pear is not soft to the touch, roughly chop it up and place into a small sauce pan with just enough water to cover the tops of the chopped pears. Cook for 8-10 minutes, covered, until pears are nice and soft. Drain off part of the water, reserving half for blending.
Place cooked pears into a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth, adding some of the reserved liquid to thin out the puree.
Let cool before serving.
